Program Summary:  Employers may be ready and eager to include individuals with disabilities in their workplaces but still have questions and concerns about accommodations. What is a reasonable accommodation? How much do accommodations really cost? How do accommodations factor into the essential job functions? How can accommodations benefit my organization?  We will address these topics and more at this workshop.

The purpose of this session is to educate HR professionals and small business managers on what the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) states about reasonable accommodations and essential job functions in the workforce and how you can create a more inclusive, productive work environment for your staff.

  • Local Successes:  Learn how innovative items and ideas were utilized to accommodate South Carolina employees to achieve success at their jobs.
  • Local Resources:  Learn about resources that can help you determine what accommodations may be best and how to implement them.
