2017 Lifetime Achievement Award

Congratulations to D. Douglas Dorman, CHHR, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, FACHE on his retirement!

Photo of Doug Dorman

Doug is retiring from his position as Vice President of Human Resources at Greenville Health System. Doug has been guiding the GHS human resources department as VP since 1998 after serving as the Director of Employee Services beginning in 1995. During that time, Doug increased employment from 5,000 to 15,000 employees, reduced worker's compensation claims by over 50%, reduced medical claims through strategic wellness initiatives focused on total health, and much much more.

A longtime member of GSHRM, Doug was selected as GSHRM's 2016 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. He has generously shared his expertise as a speaker during GSHRM meetings and conferences. He has also served the community and his profession in numerous leadership roles such as Chair of the Greenville Workforce Investment Board and Trustee of the University Center of Greenville.

On top of Doug's impressive resume, he is also a skilled and entertaining musician, specializing in Americana and Celtic music. Check out The Accidental String Band to learn more or book a gig!

Luckily for us, Doug will continue as an active member of GSHRM. Congratulations Doug!
