Publicizes Chapter activities to membership and community through multiple communications channels, and takes photos at events for posting. Coordinates HR Professional of the Year and Lifetime Achievement awards. Raises awareness and funds to support the SHRM Foundation.

Diversity & Inclusion
Director: Jada Magiera, SHRM-CP
Initiates chapter diversity & inclusion activities, arranges diversity seminars or programs, and works to increase diversity among membership and leadership.

HR Management Conference, May 8-9, 2019
Director: Nancy McCartney, MBA, SHRM-CP, PHR
Plans and executes the HR Management Conference.

Legislative Affairs
Director: Lucas Asper, JD
Makes legislative presentations at Chapter meetings and keeps members informed on legislative alerts.

Director: Donna Gaddis
Actively recruits new members, implements and maintains new member orientation and integration program, and provides Chapter support for member growth and retention. Operates the GSHRM Cares program.

Professional Development
Director: Clarence Wong, PHR
This committee provides resources to educate and advance the HR profession. This committee is made up of several subcommittees:

Certification Subcommittee
Chair: Stephanie Brown, SHRM-CP, PHR
Provides HR certification exam preparation and information (HRCI & SHRM) to members, and secures certification credit for GSHRM meetings.

Employment Assistance Subcommittee
Chair: Ed Parris
Provides employment assistance to GSHRM members.

Programming Subcommittee
Chair: OPEN
Secures educational speakers for monthly meetings, considers educational opportunities for membership outside of monthly meetings, and works to partner with others in the community/state/national SHRM on HR related conferences and workshops. Partners to operate the Ogletree Law Series program.

Senior HR Leader Roundtable Subcommittee
Chair: Steve Nail, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, RCC
Schedules and coordinates roundtable meetings for senior human resources leaders. Members with at least 10 years of HR executive experience may contact Steve Nail to inquire about joining this group.
Director: Susan Jones, MSM, SPHR
Secures funding for GSHRM through meeting and event sponsorships, conference sponsorships/exhibitor booths, and website advertising outreach.

Strategic Planning
Director: Debra Ham, SPHR, GPHR, SHRM-SCP
Updates the 3-year strategic plan on an annual basis. Reviews and recommends bylaws revisions and volunteer leadership job descriptions. Typically staffed by board members.

Student and Early Career Relations
Director: Jennifer Floyd, SHRM-SCP, SPHR
Provides Chapter support for student programs and activities including career guidance to student chapters, and operates the mentoring program for members.

Workforce Readiness
Director: Beth Baulig, MHRD, SHRM-SCP
Leverages the collective expertise of GSHRM members, engages in collaborative relationships, advances key workforce development initiatives, and prepares the labor pool to adapt and thrive.
