According to the 2010 US Census, 56 million Americans have a disability and 1 in 4 South Carolinians have a disability, yet they are twice as likely to be unemployed than people without disabilities. This is despite the fact that employers consistently report a more than 80% positive experience with employing people with disabilities.

Reports also show that 92% of the American public view companies that hire people with disabilities more favorably, and 87% prefer to give their business to companies that hire people with disabilities.

It’s time to engage this skilled, dependable, and dedicated untapped workforce! During this training, we will alleviate any fears associated with employing people with disabilities and help you create a plan to tap into this diverse group of potential employees.

A grant-funded training opportunity to support your efforts to:

  • Engage top talent with disabilities
  • Build workforce diversity
  • Take the guesswork out of providing ADA accommodations
  • Take advantage of tax breaks and existing local supports

Lunch is provided.

This training is approved for 1 PDC for the SHRM-CPSM or SHRM-SCPSM. It is also approved for 1 hour of HRCI general recertification credit.
