Transforming Healthcare Together: Partnering with Providers to Actively Manage Healthcare for the Future. As healthcare spending continues to rise across the nation, innovative employers are stepping up to partner with healthcare providers to drive down healthcare costs and improve health outcomes for their employees. Thinking about health care differently, this session will cover the growing trend nationally of companies taking a more active role in managing healthcare for their employees and the impact this can have on finances and employee experience. GSHRM participants will hear firsthand how Bob Jones University and Prisma Health Upstate Network are taking a different approach to drive healthcare transformation in the Upstate with the help of the Care Coordination Institute.

Kevin Taylor, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, sHRBP, is Chief Human Resources Officer at Bob Jones University who, in this role, partners with organizational leaders to develop human capital strategy by providing insight and leadership in a variety of areas including compensation, benefits, payroll and talent acquisition. Prior to his 19 years at BJU, he served as Operations Manager for Alro Steel Corporation in Grand Blanc, MI where he was responsible for plant operations for the Grand Blanc facility.

As an innovative leader and a passionate reader, Kevin seeks to learn and implement new strategies to address the changing needs in HR, focusing especially on healthcare. This transformation has included the development of onsite wellness programs for employees, behavioral economic alignment of employee incentives and the movement from a PPO network approach to an ACO shared risk approach within a Clinically Integrated Network.
